Rusty Maulding
A native of Illinois’ Heartland, Rusty moved to the Big City in 2002 chasing after his soon to be wife, Corrie. He then joined Christy Webber Landscapes in the spring as a Residential Maintenance Supervisor and Horticulturist. With very minimal knowledge of Chicago, Rusty set out with a truck, client list, a will to succeed, and a mission to provide excellent client satisfaction (he had a good street map too).
By the end of 2003 Rusty had made strides in increasing his knowledge beyond a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Illinois to further him in his quest. In particular, he earned the credentials of Certified Landscape Professional and Certified Landscape Technician through the Professional Landcare Network.
In 2005 Rusty made his first position leap as he moved into a new role as the Residential Manager for Christy Webber Landscapes. Those days included guiding the Residential Division into the future and fostering unity between the design, installation, enhancements and maintenance departments (what that really means is that when no one else spoke at the weekly meetings, they had no choice but to listen to him ramble on).
Lightning struck again in 2007 when Rusty was promoted to Vice President of Operations along with fellow employee Bernie Carranza. After five very full seasons with Christy Webber Landscapes, you will find Rusty in the office a lot more than just a few years ago. It’s likely that he’s contriving yet another plan that will ultimately lead to a small group of Project Managers revolting and holding him upside down until he yields. Minutes later he will be back to providing comedic relief to anyone passed whilst on his way to make a cup of tea.
